Ultrasound / Lipo Cavitation Overview How It Works Ultrasound cavitation uses low-frequency sound waves to create tiny pressure changes within fat cells. These waves cause the fat cells to break down, releasing their contents into the lymphatic system. The body then naturally processes and eliminates these released fats over time. Steps of the Treatment 1. Preparation The practitioner cleans the area and applies a conductive gel. Measurements or photos may be taken to track progress. 2. Ultrasound Cavitation A handheld device is moved in slow, controlled motions over the target area. Low-frequency ultrasonic waves penetrate the tissue, causing fat cells to break apart. 3. Post-Treatment Lymphatic Support After cavitation, many providers use manual lymphatic drainage, vibration therapy, or hydration guidance to help the body flush out the released fat more efficiently.
